2023 Saemangeum 25th World Scout Jamboree Opening Ceremony of Saemangeum Jamboree will be held today.

The 2023 Saemangeum 25th World Scout Jamboree (hereinafter referred to as "World Jamboree"), a festival for teenagers around the world,

will begin with the opening ceremony on the 2nd, with 43,000 scouts from 158 countries around the world.

The opening ceremony will be held from 8 p.m. to 10:40 p.m. on Friday, August 2 at the Delta Area of the Jamboree Estate, and will be attended

by more than 43,000 Scouts and leaders from more than 150 countries, including Andy Chapman, Chairman of the World Scout Board, ambassadors from various countries, and the Minister of Gender Equality and Family, Minister of Public Administration and Security,

and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, who are co-chairs of the World Jamboree Organizing Committee.

In addition, the opening ceremony will feature a variety of celebratory performances, including a surprise performance by Bear Grylls, a

world-renowned explorer and senior ambassador for the World Scout Federation, a mini concert by Forrestella, a taekwondo demonstration by

K-Tigerz, and a drone show. In addition, traditional Korean music performances are also prepared to welcome scouts from all over the world.

Traditional Korean music performances will combine with K-pop dances that lead the latest music trends to create an exciting stage.

We have also made thorough preparations for a safe opening ceremony.

The organizing committee, police, fire, and medical teams have established an organic cooperation system with 7,000 scout operators (ISTs),

and for multi-personal management, emergency evacuation routes, buffer spaces in the venue, and bottlenecks prevention control lines are installed.

Meanwhile, KBS, the host broadcaster, will connect the opening ceremony site to broadcast the lively world Jamboree site to the entire nation in real time, and broadcast the entire opening ceremony live through 2023 Scout Jamboree You Tube, KBS, and KBS World YouTube channels.
