Jamboree Life

Health and Safety

Medical Facilities

In a bid to ensure quality medical services for all Jamboree attendees, we will operate Hospital and Clinics. First Aid Centers at Assembly Square and Activity Square will be responsible for the relief of minor injuries and illnesses and patient transport to Hospital or Clinic for a higher level of care. Ambulances will be on patrol too.

  • There will be two Clinics where simple medical procedures can be performed.
  • The nurse will make a triage decision after assessing a patient’s condition—self-treatment at Self-care Station, treatment by healthcare providers, or room rest.
  • Patients unable to be looked after at Clinic will be transferred to Jamboree Hospital.
  • Operating hours: 07:00-22:00
Jamboree Hospital
  • Jamboree Hospital will have several departments, like internal medicine, surgery, and orthopedics, and handle medical emergencies.
  • The nurse will triage patients—self-treatment at Self-care Station, treatment by healthcare providers, or room rest.
  • If a patient requires a complex treatment or operation, he or she will be transported to a general hospital outside the campground.
  • Operating hours: 24 hours
First Aid Center
  • For emergency first response for those injured during activities or performances and patient transfer, First Aid Centers will be situated in busy areas: three at Activity Square and two at Assembly Square.
  • Ambulances will also be dispatched to three locations for off-site programs.
  • Activity Square First Aid Center’s operating hours: 09:00-17:00
  • Assembly Square First Aid Center’s operating hours: 19:00-22:00

Listening Ear

If you confront problems and would like private counseling, come to Listening Ear. It is okay to relax and get it off your chest.

  • There will be a total of six Listening Ears: three at Jamboree Hospital and Clinics, one at Assembly Square, and two at Activity Square.
  • A team of professional counselors, who completed the Scout’s Listening Ear course and have language skills, will offer encouragement, support, advice, and guidance.
  • People deemed to need mental health care will consult a psychiatrist at Jamboree Hospital or Clinic.
  • Operating hours: 07:00-22:00
